Regarded as a symbol of purity, Yulan magnolias were planted in the grounds of the Emperor’s palace during the Tang Dynasty. Something old in the oya tradition, something new in its interpretation: a headdress of Yulan flowers for the winter bride, complete with something blue - for fidelity, purity and protection.
