Birch Tonal-Striped Silk Cushion, B
THE LADY OF THE WOODS
Tougher than it looks
Description
Its beautiful, slender white trunk and graceful branches have earned the birch the poetic title of Lady of the Woods. But don’t let its refined appearance fool you : this tree is tougher than it looks.
The birch sheds its bark periodically, a symbolic gesture of releasing old patterns, whispering that it is always possible to begin anew—all while looking utterly splendid.
Hand-loomed in Anatolia, this silk carries fine, rhythmic stripes in beige and earthy tones reminiscent of tree bark. As light moves across its surface, a soft lustre emerges and recedes, lending our hand-embroidered cushion a poised, luminous elegance.
In the Ogham alphabet, the birch corresponds to the letter B.
